How We Verify Coupons
Every deal on CouponDepots goes through a 4-step verification process before it reaches you. No guesswork, no expired codes, no wasted clicks.
Our 4-Step Verification Process
Step 01
Source confirmation
Every deal starts with a confirmed source — the retailer's own website, their official email newsletter, or a verified affiliate network feed (CJ, Impact, ShareASale, Awin). We never publish deals from unverified third-party aggregators.
Step 02
Live checkout test
For deals with a promo code, a team member adds qualifying items to a real cart and applies the code before publishing. For no-code deals (loyalty programs, sale sections, free trials), we confirm the discount appears automatically at checkout.
Step 03
Expiration tracking
Each deal is assigned an expiration date based on the retailer's stated terms. Our system flags deals approaching expiry for re-verification. Expired deals are removed within 24 hours — we don't let dead codes sit on the page.
Step 04
Daily re-check
Featured and high-traffic deals are re-tested every 24–48 hours. If a deal breaks between scheduled checks, our community reporting system (the flag button on each card) lets any user flag it for immediate review.
What Our Badges Mean
Tested by our team within the last 7 days. The deal applied correctly at checkout.
The discount applies automatically — no promo code required at checkout.
Community-submitted or recently expired. Use with caution and report if it doesn't work.
Community-powered accuracy
Our team can't test every deal every hour — but our community can. Every coupon card has a report button. When users flag a broken deal, it enters an immediate review queue and is removed or updated within 24 hours. The more people use CouponDepots, the more accurate it gets.

What does the green "Verified" badge mean?
The Verified badge means a member of our team tested the deal within the last 7 days and confirmed it applied correctly at checkout — either the code reduced the price or the no-code discount appeared automatically.
What happens when a coupon stops working?
We remove expired or broken deals within 24 hours of detection. You can also report a broken deal using the flag button on any coupon card — flagged deals go into an immediate review queue.
Why do some deals say "No Code Needed"?
Many retailers offer discounts that apply automatically — loyalty program prices, sale section markdowns, free shipping thresholds, and free trial offers. These are real deals; you just don't need to enter a code at checkout.
Does CouponDepots earn money from these deals?
Yes — some links are affiliate links. We earn a small commission when you click through and make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. This commission never influences which deals we feature or how we rank them. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Can I submit a deal I found?
Yes. Use the Submit a Coupon page to share a deal with our team. We review every submission and test it before publishing. We credit community submissions where possible.
